Panasonic Toughbooks Saving The Environment

By John J. Rockerson

Panasonic continues to work to save the environment by donating laptops to Wildlife Trust Scientists. These rugged laptops are you used for gathering important research information out in the field. The Scientists rave about the long battery life and easy to read touch screen.

Panasonic knows that many of their products assist us in our daily life. Our workday consists of the use of laptops, phones and other items that could be harmful to the environment. They strive to reduce the harmful impact these products have on the environment by working with recyclable parts when they can.

We are all looking for ways to support our manufactures that are making an effort to go green. Panasonic recently teamed up with Maine and Minnesota and collected over one million pounds of retired electronic for proper disposal. What a great impact that is going to have on those states and our world.

We have seen time and time again laptops thrown out after one to two years in the field. The effect this can have on our environment is huge. Panasonic Toughbooks will give field workers an efficient productivity tool and with a longer life expectancy which means less impact on the environment.

As field workers have experience more and more, battery charge is a common issue while working remotely. Panasonic have worked to eliminate this problem on the rugged Toughbooks models. Now you can continue to work all day with a battery life that can last up to 10 hours on one charge.

Not only does Panasonic make environmentally-friendly computers, but its employees are environmentally-conscious. As they work diligently to produce amazing rugged laptops for consumers, they are also working in an accredited Clean Factory. This means that 98% of the waste generated is recyclable.

When we are not using things like our computer it is best to just unplug the unit. Eliminating all power consumption saves energy. Using a power strip can also help by eliminating the peripheral power source in turn saving on energy.

If you must leave your computer on, change your computers setting to go into hibernate mode which can reduce the power usage up to 80%. Donate your old laptop to your child's school or pass it down to your child which also helps save the environment.

As the proud owner of the Panasonic Toughbooks, you can now save the environment by working from home. Fewer emissions, less gas used and fewer cars on the road can impact the environment in a big way. And remember; recycle those old computers properly so they have less of an impact on our world.
